Buddhism in its simplest form is the art of living harmoniously in the present and being in touch positively to your surroundings.
It teaches you to be awake and to be connected to everything around you as it happens, in the present moment as you live it using a handful of basic principles.
Buddhism is a philosophy or dharma that places you at the centre, you are the focus and with that, everything around you becomes a part of your being. It’s a beautiful balance of principles and practice to ultimately achieve a state of enlightenment. Applied as a community, we all intertwine in a unity of collective consciousness, moving as one in tandem towards a higher frequency. This basic set of rules without the label of ‘Buddhism’ is a structure that when applied, everyone can all take a lesson from and all be good human beings.
“Love in the simple Buddhist definition, is unselfishly wishing others to be happy; to be delighted to be in their presence; to offer our affection and smiles and hugs and help freely without wanting anything in return”
In Buddhism, we look to break the cycle of death and rebirth as this is the perpetual cycle of suffering. Living a life and then dying, only to be born again, relearning life and then to die over and over is a form of hell in Buddhist tradition.
Buddhists understand the reality of our true form and our place in the cosmos. Buddhism seeks to release you from this cycle and return you back to your true form, your higher self that consists of pure light and connected consciousness to the rest of the universe. Returning to the cosmos as a collective part of what Buddhism calls Nirvana.
This is achieved by being a good human, and the principles, philosophy or dharma set out here are a guide to achieving ascendancy to Nirvana.
Hello! I’m Jerry Pettie and I’m here creating a beautiful spiritual hub for everyone to learn from, contribute too and ultimately raise their vibration.
I’ve stripped back the fluff surrounding Buddhism, taking away everything that is distracting from the key principles that our guy Gautama taught us. These key principles when put into practice form a beautiful and harmonious life style where everyone benefits in a very positive way.
I’ve learnt that we are not humans having a spiritual experience, we are actually spiritual beings having a human experience. By switching your view from human to spiritual and invite your higher self back into your life, you’ll soon discover you can both shape the very fabric of your reality.
My month in Nepal in 2024 taught me more than I can put into words. The experience and the people I met travelling across the country on a motorbike and eventually deep into the Himalayas. I experienced first hand Buddhism in various forms, straight from the heart of Buddhist country. I found ultimately one common factor rang true through out, compassion and loving kindness from everyone I met, The Buddhist and Hindu cultures entwined together make for a very friendly place to be. Nepal was the most epic journey I’ve ever encountered and I will returm!
This is your hub of spiritual guidance, so thank you for taking the time to visit and your feedback is most welcome.
✨🙏🏼 Namaste. 🕉️✨
